Du Verre Hardware requires a minimum of care. To clean, simply dust or polish with a soft, dry cloth. All of the hardware has a lacquer coating that should remain stable for a long time. Avoid the use of harsh cleaners, abrasives and chemicals as these can break down the lacquer finish. Cast iron pieces may rust if the lacquer finish is compromised. Brass is the most durable metal for outdoor use.

Polished aluminum is the softest metal and is subject to small scratches over time.
